Social distancing policies at work? Make things even easier with the use of an access control system

The number of businesses beginning to return to their physical workplace is increasing, albeit with some changes to improve Covid-19 control.

Business owners and HR managers are likely to have put in place COVID measures such as cleaning stations, new temporary rules for wearing face masks, and social distancing. But have you considered the benefits of using an access control system to help with social distancing?

With an access control system, you can have full control over the flow of people into your office or workplace. Access control systems only give access to authorised workers, so any unexpected visitors will be halted at the door. People who you give authorised access to can unlock the door contact free.

If you’re considering putting in place new policies, such as the compulsory use of face masks inside the workplace, or compulsory temperature checking before entering the premises, then the use of an access control system can make things much easier to enforce - not to mention making your employees feel safe in their work environment, which has never been more important than in these Covid times.

We recently fitted an access control system for a Liverpool-based office, which said it is using its new security system to enforce temperature checks on any visitors that aren’t pre-authorised staff members.

The customer said:

"Having access control gives us extra peace of mind now we've put social distancing measures in place, and do not want unexpected visitors coming into the office.

“With our new security system in place, we can ask visitors to check their temperature before we let them into our office.

“When fitting the system, the AinsCo engineer was so friendly and maintained a safe distance at all times. Thank you AinsCo!"

We can provide your workplace with an access control system, adapted to suit any type of site, whether you have single entrance doors, or multiple doors, gates, barriers and turnstiles with varying staff levels across a multi site.

All access control systems meet the requirements of BS EN 50133-1 and the NSI certification scheme NCP109.
